All Things...
My recently read book, All Things Bright and Beautiful by James Herriot, has become an all-time favorite. I remember trying to read one of his books as a child, but getting confused by the lingo and frustrated at the slow read. I gave up too easily, I believe.
After getting into the style, the times, and the hills of Yorkshire, I could hardly put the book down. It became my nightly routine to read a chapter or two before bed. What interesting tales he tells and with such a sense of humor. Tim agrees that we should get the rest of his books, so I'll be enjoying a few more evenings with James Herriot.
