37 Weeks Tomorrow

Today's OB appointment can be summed up in two words. "SAME" and "NEGATIVE". I'm pretty much tired of going at all...not worthwhile. Why do they have us come every week for the last month if there's nothing new to report?? I love hearing that heartbeat, but I'd really rather hear it from the outside.

SAME = same quiet, unnerving nurse as last week; same results (fingertip dilated); same diagnosis (BIG baby)

NEGATIVE = the only good news today was my negative test results for the Group B Strep -- this means I won't have to get pumped full of penicillin during labor (yay!); my attitude was also very negative...wishing for more attention and recognition.

I'm going through a lot here people!! The strangers at Costco give me more than these health professionals ("wow, you've dropped" or, "oh my goodness, are you past due??"). All the doctor can say is "well, you didn't want a little 5-pounder, did you?" NO, but I'd like to get this 8-pounder OUT before he's a 10-pounder!!!

ADVICE?? = WALK. And walk some more. Come on Ezra...push down with that big head of yours!! Don't wait just because Mommy feeds you so well in there.

Maybe I need to pack my hospital bag -- I've been procrastinating.
