Peace in the Garden

 Today we mowed, planted, watered.

Peter pushed the mower around the yard by himself.
He also picked a bunch of poppy leaves and dandelions and "planted them" in the dirt.

I planted yellow squash, zucchini squash, butternut squash, and sweet peas.
I smiled at the budding blueberries, the leafy blackberries, the resilient strawberries.

Our weather is still unusually cold.

Peter remarks every time the sun shines -- "the sun is shining and it's not raining or too cold!"
