favorite pear crisp
There are no words to describe this deliciousness. Ripe pears don't need very much sugar to be transformed into a delicious dessert. The pecans give crunch and flavor that will make your mouth smile.
Introducing...my favorite pear crisp.
Pear Crisp
inspired by the lovely Pioneer Woman
fruit filling:
8-10 medium bartlett pears, nice and ripe
3 tbsp sugar
1/4 tsp salt
crumble topping:
1 cup all purpose flour
1/2 cup ww pastry flour
2/3 cups rolled oats
1/3 cup brown sugar
1/2 tsp cinnamon
3/4 cup pecans, chopped
1/3 cup coconut oil, softened
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Peel, core and chop up your pears into pretty small pieces. Place in your medium sized {will fill 8x8 very full or 9x11 about half full} baking dish and sprinkle sugar and salt over them. Combine gently.
Combine topping ingredients, mixing in the oil until it looks crumbly. Cover the fruit with the topping. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes or until bubbly and golden.
