[faith] nature's love notes

My favorite place to talk to God is outside.

I can hear Him in the rippling water, feel Him in the breeze, smell Him in the lilac blossoms. There is nothing like a quiet walk and time to listen to nature's echoes of God's love for me. I wish I could do it more often.

Tonight I've been thinking about how much God wants to love us and be loved back. He created both man and woman -- women with a great capacity for relationship and emotional connection. Women created, in His image, sharing His desires for intimate love and deep conversation. He wants to be with us. He wants to tousle our hair and kiss our foreheads. He wants to listen as we share our hearts' beatings.

Nature sends innumerable messages of love if we stop to look and listen. Now to teach my young-uns to be quiet and listen... ;)
