Joshua Tree NP | Camping at Indian Cove
Trip Details:
Not far from Los Angeles {about two hours}, Joshua Tree NP is a really fun place to visit, especially if you have kids that like to climb on rocks. We spent the night at Indian Cove Campground in campsite #4, possibly the best site in the place. It has really easy-to-climb boulders -- we scrambled around until sunset, then crawled into our sleeping bags. Late January was a perfect time to visit -- we didn't have to worry about rattlesnakes, but it wasn't super cold at night.
There are other hikes in the park that would have been fun to do, but the kids were excited to get to grandma's house. Next time. :)
