Don't schedule an appointment...
...with an OBGYN before you're pregnant. Today I had a most embarrassing phone conversation with an incredulous receptionist. She couldn't figure out why I was calling.
"So you're not pregnant?" "'Yep, I mean, nope!"
"And you don't need a female exam?" "Uh...no. Probably not right now."
"So why are you calling to make an appointment?" "I'm just wondering if any of your doctors have openings." "Well, that would depend on whether you are pregnant or just coming in for your annual exam!"
"Oh. Hmmm...well, what if I was pregnant?" "Are you?" "Aaaaahhh! -- not yet." "Ok, well why don't you give us a call back when you are!"
I must do stupid things just for something to blog about...
