Mother's Day
While I'm thankful that my mother-in-law spent the day with two of her favorite boys, I still missed seeing my little one on Mother's Day. He'll be home soon and I will smother him with kisses. I'm not in the habit of being alone for this many hours at a time! It's been relaxing and fun, but I miss my boys. :)
This morning I had breakfast with my parents and grandparents...then went downtown with my Mom, to Farmer's Market (other stores were all closed). We saw some neat hand-crafted items and tried some really nice smelling herbal lotions. Then it was time to play some good old-fashioned crokinole, a fun Canadian game. My grandparents raised me on this, so we're all quite good at it...and competitive. :)
Soon it was time for lunch at Thai City -- we ate WELL. Even had some mango sticky rice. Mmmmm. Then my mom and I went to get pedicures -- first time for both of us! How funny. Guess we'd never thought it necessary before. Well, it was very nice to soak our feet and get them rubbed down and cleaned up. I felt pampered, especially since my feet are a region hard to get to when pregnant. It was fun. My toes are now a bright aqua green color. A great distraction for the delivery room.
I spent the rest of the day with friends at Cameron's 1st birthday party. Didn't have my boy, but ate cake and enjoyed myself just the same! I haven't heard from Tim for quite awhile, but I'm hoping to see them soon. It's been long enough. I'm done flying solo. Love you so much Tim and Peter!!
