What We Do | Weekending
Oh, the constant question of what to do. What will we do with this one precious life?
I ponder this all. the. time. I'm not the type to be very satisfied with a status quo. I want to go be bigger and do better and go farther and see more. Sometimes the sermon I need to hear is the blessing on the mundane and the power of quiet. But all too often, I fear mundane becomes lethargy and quiet becomes lazy and instead of searching out the blessed voice of God in the quietness, I fill it with other noise.
That's more meat than this post is prepared to chew. All I wanted to say is -- let's think about what we do. Let's set goals, but make them manageable -- one little bite at a time. Let's not do hard things to earn approval, but because they make us better people. Let's look out at the night sky and ask our Maker what He would have us do.
I was introduced to this song last week and fell. in. love. Listen to the lyrics -- wow.
Heaven taunts the hearts of men
We can feel it from within
The beauty of it all
The mystery
The swelling of a voice
A rising sea
We can feel it from within
The beauty of it all
The mystery
The swelling of a voice
A rising sea
Vapor finds ground in you
Music finds sound for you
Music finds sound for you
