It's September Again
The world keeps spinning, since the beginning...
Another summer, already pretty much gone! I've definitely been continuing to figure out how to live my life -- May and June brought a bit too much travel and not enough exercise, so I spent July and August getting my muscles back in shape... I biked around 430 miles in two months!
I had an incredible time in the Philippines with a group of women I hadn't met before! We enjoyed fun adventures together! I'm a new fan of group trips! :)
We were able to take a moms/sons trip to Utah and cross Hiking the Narrows off my list. I went to ICELAND for a few days [which was EPIC], enjoyed family time at the river, then did some hiking in Wyoming and Colorado, visited family in Canada, and most recently spent some time exploring Boston, Massachusetts [sorry, no photos of Boston because my phone died...]. :( Of course, all that fun adventuring has been intermixed with lots of shifts at the airport!! It's a blessed life flying standby!!
I recently deleted something off my travel bucket list for the year [gasp!] rather than actually taking the trip [SFO for the flower piano experience]. That felt sad, but was somewhat of a relief as well. I like staying home AND I like adventuring away. I might be playing with this balance for years to come. However, this is potentially the very last year I'll have Peter at home, so I'm not super anxious to miss that time with him.
I might push some of these ideas to 2025 or delete them altogether... Lists are good, until they just aren't things you want to do anymore! I'm heading to Kentucky soon and I'm pretty sure we're at least going to get to Japan before the end of the year!
